Candidate Online Timesheet User Guide

​

This guide explains how you can access, fill out and submit timesheets.

​

Before you begin using the Time and Attendance system your employer will issue you with a link to the Candidate Portal along with a username and password for logging in.

​

If you have not been issued with a login, please contact New Start on 1300 399 306.

​

Once logged into the web portal you can start up the Time and Attendance application, where you can access your timesheets.

How to Access the Time and Attendance Application​

 

1. Open a web browser window and navigate to the FastTrack web portal and enter your username and password when prompted.

2. In the top right-hand corner of the portal screen click The Time and Attendance module.

3. In Time and Attendance Tab timesheets are categorised based on their status or type. You can access the timesheets in each category by clicking on the relevant category as shown below.

Available - Available timesheets are timesheets that have been created for job orders that have been submitted to timesheet and are available to be keyed but are yet to be edited or submitted for approval.

Incomplete - Incomplete timesheets are timesheets that have been edited and saved but are yet to be submitted for approval.

​

Rejected - Rejected timesheets are timesheets that have been submitted for approval by an approver but have been rejected due to errors, discrepancies or incompleteness.

How to Open an Available or Incomplete Timesheet for Editing

 

1. In the Time and Attendance page, click on Available Timesheets or Incomplete Timesheets for editing.

2. In the list of timesheets displayed on the screen, click the row corresponding to the timesheet you want to edit.

3. Select the appropriate shift in the drop down list in the Attendance Type column.

4. Add your Start Time, End Time as well as your Break Start and Break End times.

5. If you did not do a shift on one of the dates shown in the list, click on the button to remove it.

    *You will get an error if you do not remove any unfilled shifts.

6. At this stage you may be ready to submit the timesheet for approval. To do this, click on the Submit button in the top right corner.

​

Alternatively, you can select the Save button so that you can, at a later stage, key in more information or edit any information you have already keyed in. This will move the timesheet to your list of incomplete timesheets.

How to resubmit a rejected timesheet

 

3.1. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 above.

3.2  In Time and Attendance Tab page, click on the Rejected Timesheets category.

3.3  In the list of rejected timesheets displayed on the screen, click the row corresponding to the timesheet you want to edit.

3.4  In the Rejected Timesheets page, a reason for rejection would be listed below.

3.5  Once you have amended your timesheet, click on Submit for re approval.
